World Events - 2012

Belarus has officially joined the Russian Federation. They did so after a vote in their nation, in of which, Russia won with 80% of the vote. Russia has begun to join Belarus' military with Russia's own as well as creating massive service projects to aid Belarus. Many around Russia see how much Russia helps and feel slightly swayed to join Russia.

The US asks China for a complete list of all of the debts still unpaid and has stated that the US will pay them. The US also has declared the caliphate in the Horn of Africa to be a threat to all democratic nations and have declared that they will aid nations in the fight against them.

Colombia is in a state of political unrest and emergency due to the drug cartels, more specifically the one run by Jose Escobar. The people of Colombia look for help and would gladly welcome any aid.

India and Pakistan have yet to take military action yet and the UN wishes for violence to be avoided. However, the UN is investigating the plan to attack India.

Finally, the UN have decided to take military action in order to protect Sudan from the caliphate.
UN Forces -
Kenya - 25,000 Troops, 200 APC, 110 T-72's, 15 BM-21, 35 F-5's, and roughly 50 transport planes
Baltic Union - 10,000 Troops, 100 Type 99, 54 M113
Turkmenistan - 1,500 Troops, 50 T-72, 130 BMP-2, 130 BTR-80
Guatemala – 4,000 Troops, 20 Leopard2, 1 F-16
US - 15,000 Troops, 100 Abrams, 100 M113
Russia - 10,000 Troops, 100 T-80, 200 BTR-80

The fundamentalists instantly poured in more troops. Their numbers swelled to 25,000, all armed with AK-47's and every 4th man has a RPG-7. They fight guerilla war style and it will take a long time before the caliphate would be forced to retreat.

Companies now have no need to hire foreigners if they have to pay them as much as nationals. Since nationals end up giving the company subsidies, the companies drop their foreigners. Thusly, the foreigners are pissed.

Breaking News
As of 22:09, May 22, Chocololii, the leader of Turkmenistan, was pronounced dead at his Palace. The current cause of death is unknown and will most likely be found out in his autopsy. Current belief is that there was something wrong with his meal as his food taster is also dead.

Chocololii had eaten dinner and then went to his bed-room for a rest. His bodyguards found him dead roughly four hours later. They also found the food taster dead in the dining hall around the same time.
