Dear Community,
Please find below the changelog for Tribal Wars Version 8.6. After spending most of last update creating new features that affected gameplay directly we've instead spent this one on improving the supporting features, like adding true tribe functionality to Pre-registration. We also fixed about 35 bugs from previous versions. Read on for more!
Pre-registration
- Improved Pre-registration significantly: in addition to the existing pre-registration functionality, players can now access a restricted version of the game before the world starts, which will allow them to create tribes to spawn in and access their mails and reports.
Account Manager
- Added Research Manager, which allows you to create research templates and apply them to your villages to aid the in the management of large accounts.
- Improved template creation for the Village Manager
Flags
- Removed the flag reward you receive for making ingame friends award
- Added faded out versions of flag colours for empty flag slots. (So that you can see which color corresponds to which bonus, even if you don't have that color yet.)
Other
- Added 5 additional quests (4 for the game, 1 for special technical cases)
- Added username suggestion feature which can help you find a suitable username during registration, if your first choice was already taken.
- Remade some confirmation boxes into the style of the game. Not all have been replaced yet.
- Removed "external forum" configuration option for tribes, because it was only extremely rarely used, and in most cases was actually redirecting players to invalid urls.
- In 8.7, we will remove the send mail API for external services. Please let your community manager know if there are any objections. (If you don't know what this means, it doesn't affect you.)
- Replaced and added some minor images in the Statue and on the Player Invite screen
- Player invite screen previously incorrectly listed all invited players in your table of Recruited players, even if the players in question already had an account, for which no reward would be given.
The update is due to take place on the 15th of August between 10:00 and 14:00, expect a short downtime.
