Instead of creating a discuassion thread for each round that comes up, I will post them in appropriate spoilers. If this can be stickied, that will be great, thanks

Round 1

Start: Friday, 27/08/10 17:00
End: Sunday, 29/08/10 17:00

Description:
30 minutes beginner protection.
Paladin active (no items).
Archers on.
Simple tech smithy.
Units outside villages cannot be scouted.
Fake limit active. Minimum attack force is 1 per cent of village points.
Barbs and advanced bonus villages grow to 1500 points.
Coin academy.
20-member tribe limit. No leaving tribe. No outside support.
Ability to choose starting direction.
Caution: Noblemen travel a maximum distance of 50 fields.
Player limit: 100 (This means first 100 get in free, then you have to have premium)
Requirements for victory: Nil
Speed: 200
Unit speed: 1
Sleep mode: Yes
Account sitting: No
Morale: No
Building queue: Yes

Prizes for winners of the first round
400 Premium Points for Winner
200 Premium Points Second Place
100 Premium Points Third
60 Premium Points for each member of the Winning Tribe

2 day round, OK settings, but I personally believe that Round 2 and Round 1 should be swapped, length wise

Round 2

Start: Monday, 30/08/10 12:00
End: Friday, 10/09/10 12:00

Description:
300 minutes beginner protection.
No paladin.
No archers.
15-tech smithy (3 levels per technology).
Barbs and advanced bonus villages grow to 1000 points.
Coin academy. Only 3 noblemen can be built per village.
40-member tribe limit. No attacking tribemates.
Random starting location.
Caution: Noblemen travel a maximum distance of 50 fields.

Player limit: 100
Requirements for victory: Nil
Speed: 50
Unit speed: 1
Sleep mode: Yes
Account sitting: Yes
Morale: Yes
Building queue: Yes

So no noble trains, Morale, 15 tech-smithy, long round. That just drives me mad, skip round. Although the no paladin is one of the good settings on this round. Archers, or no archers it usually doesn't affect me. BP is quite long, but we will see where it goes

Pretty pointless, its as if saying, lets have all worlds settings + discussions in one thread. By the time we get to over dozen rounds, discussions become pointless as no one would know which round is the next person talking about.

Yeah but it's less pointless, then huge amount of threads for each speed round

Not really better than a dead forum I just think you're trying to get another stickied thread that you'll stop updating in a week. xD People will stop making round discussions more frequently when rounds are more common.

Touché but I am only going to stop if people stop posting

But more threads would mean more discussions and more options for the posters. I think, speed round forums would do better than individual forums of other UK worlds. Just because of lots of interest from elite + experienced players. I am sure I read numerous times, many players wanted speed rounds to get them back at playing UK worlds. I believe that would be the case.

Agrees with Gronak about having a live forum rather then a dead one.

[th]Right now this thread already would have to handle two separate settings to discuss. What if the next settings become public? Do you really expect the people adding the round, which they are discussing into each of the posts?

No, that won't work (and for sure it won't become a stickied thread). If there's any need to discuss the settings, a thread for each round should be created. Everything else would be infeasible.[/th]
