Moving troops between villages

When you have more than one village, and you move troops from your main village to another, can you control those troops as if they were from that village? Or do they just sit there to defend until recalled like when you send to support to an ally?

Will I be able to send some cavalry across and start farming from my new village straight away?

This. Troops can only be commanded from the village they were created in (of course, you can send supporting troops home from the rally point of the village they are supporting)

No, you will only be able to use your LCav to attack from their village of origin. You will need to train LCav in your new village to start farming from your new village.
