SHOUT OUT TO THE OLD TIMERS

First played w2, got my first win on w9 I think. I guarantee I'm older than most here.

Leader of SLAP! (speed tribe and we won some random world thx to Ries) and all round drama starter. Been around for as long as I can remember, don't play anymore but dart in every now and again to see if some of the old faces still here. Shoutout to Lionheart

I’ve popped back on to play a bit casually, been mostly on the account that’s my name here. Played since .net8 opened I believe. I co-played an account on .net1 (lost to HELL at some point) and been around since uk1 here. Also played on the zzdan account on uk3 and won a few speed rounds (I guess the twspeed site that ranked speed players shut?). I am pretty rusty but still won 2 before Christmas when I had some time off.

I recognise quite a few names still floating around!

I started on .net and player W13 there, the first world that introduced Paladin weapons and the infamous, aforementioned, Alethia's Bonfire! It also had the first Bonus villages though TW started them very weak, like 10% bonus resource ones. I enjoyed speed rounds and won a TW T-shirt in a competition! I still wear it with pride :-D. I came to UK server with friends as we thought the night bonus would help our aging lifestyles. I finally managed to win a UK world, number 40, and had fun in worlds after. I took a hiatus for several years, had a kid to raise, and returned, hoping for the same feeling of fun! It has changed. TW has many multiplayer accounts (6 co's is common) but also conglomerate tribes that rotate every 6 worlds or so. Gone are the battles and wars between continent tribes and worlds are dominated long before the World Age is reached. I don't think these players spend money in game - they just farm PP in previous worlds. It is a kind of a strategy I guess, though one that leaves us veterans shaking our heads. Take W76 - PP for noble slots? I mean, ffs!! :-) bring back Alethia and Thorgard, taking a day to build that last Smithy level, setting your browser to send split second trains, and the in game banter between rivals.

Nauz .... remember me ? Chesty aka Chestycles? Just got back into the game in 2026 following the sad loss of me Mrs to the big C , I remember you top mod back in them days UK 1 , 2 , 3 , 7 , 11 ... Good times

Sorry to hear about your loss, deepest sympathies Chestycles.

Ah yes nauz the unbeaten 3 week start up moderator. It was no secret nauz you cheated but no hard feelings. Even with your inside knowledge and Barb placement you could not out farm me on the 1st ever looter of day award, which you lost to me

Hope to see you back Nauz, I challenge you to a speed Round

Best of luck Chestcycles, TW no doubt will help therapeutically sending some ppts
