dont really know ............ been trying to get someone to guide me for along time now.....
i even had help from ruffus's tribe on uk6 or uk5 was it hmmmm i think.
one of his players helped me but i quit.
chatted to ruffus on skype for a while but because my grammar is crap players assume i am (nobody said that but its what i think)........ plus i dont help myself by taking to much i suppose.
Would be nice for a great player to give me a little help ........ i Know the basics now maybe a little more

I can see once a tribe is close there will be lots of merges and tribe switching as tribes try to get the 50 million as soon as possible.
I think after a certain point there should be no tribe leaving once your in that tribe you stay there, otherwise tribes will just merge to make up the points which might spoil the end game a bit, especially if there struggling to keep the 50 million.

I would say a Barb first, for the same reason that it'd save a lot of hassle.
I can see this world ending In one of these World Wars that I've seen mentioned on other World Forums.
What I mean by this is that when a tribe in the number 1 spot looks like they're going to make a clear break the other tribes in the top 5 will probably team up to take that top tribe down.

Depends on diplomacy though, alliances are important on this world as they may make certain tribes lose the world, lol, although if its a case of win or lose it may see diplomacy go out the window later on in the game and just see team ups on 1 tribe as you say.

diplomacy will certainly go out the window. alliances are important, i agree but i can't see a tribe upholding an alliance if it means they lose.
most alliances are born from what each tribe can gain from another and not much is gained from losing (except experience blah blah blah lol).

See this is the problem. You assume you know the basics and the reason you arent as good as so called great players
is because you do not know the advanced stuff.
Now assume what you think you know as the basics is not the basics and you know nothing and begin from there.
Tw has no advanced magic stuff. If you know the "basics", unless you are a very unlucky 9/10 you will not need the so called "advanced" stuff anyway.

world 8 ending..
world 8 was a right fight..
we merged with fate and made the 50 million but it was a hard fight..dogs are no pushover..
we had to specialise.. some being attackers and some defenders..myself i had over 5 million defence troops out at the west/north/east front..
and i was not alone in the tribe doing this,,
there were others making defence troops and nothing else..and some made attack villas with the defence members stacking.
i was loosing masses of defence troops but replaced them in the safe areas...
the only time we had a problem is when moralkiller got right down to the safe areas..if more had done so from the dog tribe we would have had to pull support troops back from the front line...then the ending may have had turned out diff
non-activity was a problem later on in the game..but it was not as bad as we thought it would be..
a lot hinged on the 2nd tribe supporting ..which they did..with the top players joining the main tribe as spaces opened up
it all hinged on haveing well organised attackers getting there act together regarding defence once they took villas,
in the end it came down to dukes/barons organising attacks, and defence supplying back-up
dogs consentrated on borg villas at first.....which took the heat of the rest of the tribe..it got a bit messy at the end but it shows what can be done when a small 50 member tribe can organise itself into.. just attack and defence minded players..
again could not have done it without the help of the 2nd tribe..who took out all the small tribes in the safe areas and then moved up to the front line..
a few of us wanted the world to go on..but in the end it did not happen..as the world settings were set in stone..
HD were one tribe we did not manage to reduce down in the safe areas .. as they were a ..very well organised outfit..
diff people will have a diff slant on things but above.. is my own personal opinion only.. haveing logged on every day since we started
a lot of the attacking between ourselves was done on the fronteirs west/east/north and outlaying clusters,
if there had been deep penetration into the home ares..the ending may had turned out diff..but it never happened..a lot of the heat was taken by attacks on tribes frontier areas...
