Domestic Affairs/Economy
Right. At the moment we have a workforce of 75% agricultural workers, mostly working on small farms. It's important to recognise here that larger farms are per square meter more productive than smaller farms, especially with the right equipment.
So, to work on getting larger farms we will buy up lots of ajacent farms in many different areas (if the farmers want to sell them). We will then see if any other nearby farmer would like to buy them up (in exchange for we wll supply the farm with modern equipment) If not then it will be run by the government, using some of the farmers and training them to use new equipment. (wages will be fair) The ones that want to will be encouraged to go to the major cities of Cambodia where we will supply them with some job opportunities (in the new factories we will be building) and free accomodation for 5 months.
Hopefully the result will be more mechanised, larger farms and more jobs in industry in the cities. - 1 billion

Now, lets get a bit of indusrailisation up-in-here. This year we are gonna put a massive focus on the refinement and packaging of rice. Set up a lot of factories for the refinement and packaging of rice, because we are going to make our own brand. A lot of the jobs will be set aside for people coming in from the farming trade and training courses will be provided. A fair trade rice brand called "Uncle Rizzler's" "Asian Grains". We will advertise it heavily as a good value brand that treasts its workers right (we will have inspections on the places where we get our rice from to ensure fair trade standard). Attempt to break into the European/Austrailian market through advertising. - 1.9 billion

Build new, compact and "cheap but cheerful" housing near these new factories, to accomodate people moving in from the countryside, ensure rents are affordable in ratio to wages and have extra police patrols around these areas to ensure they don't become crime cesspools. -600 million

Provide loans to people wanting to set up buisnesses around the country, these will be provided at 1% interest rate and will mainly be for small amounts for small buisnesses to be able to start up and allow the private sector to thrive. - 350 million.

Decrease corporation tax from 20% now to 15%. Also advertise this tax drop in order to try to secure foreign investment. Especially ask companies such as Honda, Toyota and Sony. Companies with products that will be well recieved in Cambodias emerging market. - 50 million

Foreign Relations
Thailand - For too long haev our countries been estranged, and for what. A temple and some land? Even recently one of your artillery shells destroyed a wing of the temple. At this rate we will end up destroying the thing that both our countries care about.
We suggest that we both adhere to a demilitarised zone and that the disputed border area and the temple become the combined territory of cambodia and thailand, where anyone from both our countries can freely move about in and is policed by a joint police force.

Hello china, we are going through a bit of an indusrial revolution here and we know how good you are at creating vast industry and factories so maybe you could send us a few experienced people in that line of work to help us setting up.

China- We have long been strong allies since you supported us against vietnam in the cambodian-vietnamese war, we suggest an economic alliance to solidify this friendship and allow us to move to a much better level of trade co-operation. Perhaps you would consider paying a visit to cambodia?

Give major rice producers in Vietnam and Thailand the opportunity to join our rice brand, we would pay they a fair price for their raw produce and brand it here in Cambodia for export around the world. In return we would give them a fair price on the condition their rice meets fair trade standards

Assassinate Olly - 150 million

2011

In the United States a new political movement has been started, it's been called the version of the tea-party. They are protesting against the continuation of the bush era tax cuts and the fact that Obama refused to investigate crimes carried about by the previous administrations. According to some sources they have strong support within the democratic party.

In China the government has declared emergency rule after reports stated the Chinese economy has taken a turn for the worse, the Chinese has placed strict control on it's goods and acted the slown down growth to a near standstill.

The economy of the European Union is facing steady growth, with poorer countries in the East recording fast and rapid growth, as they take their place in an attempt to try and replace some minor industry and supply the United States and Russia.

In Moscow an attempted attack on the Moscow Metro network was stopped by a new member of the Russian police, when he spotted suspicious activity. The Russian Government has praised the action of the security services and the new reform, the person has been taken into custody and has already been connected to terrorist movements in the Caucasu. Vladmir Putin has already been quoted that the Russian Military will wipe out the terrorists from history.

President barf - Nicaragua

- Healthcare reform is underway, your reform scheme is greatly boosted by the arrival of highly trained medical staff from Cuba who begin to train your staff to a higher standard. This is greatly supported by the people when details of your negotiations with the Cuban government become public. (ETA 1 year)

- Only slight progress is made on the agricultural research, scientists refer to the vague outlook you gave them for your technology.

- What kind of harsh laws do you want in place? (R?) Corruption is reduced and many low level staff in the government are arrested and face charges. This improves your standing in the region, although it annoys some.

- This economic union already exists to an extent and your union idea is not supported. Mostly because it was no specific.

- The Chinese and Russian's agree to sell you the military equipment. Some citizens are concerned with the large purchase of T-72's and Costa Rica make an official complaint to your foreign office.

New Budget: 4.1 billion dollars

President Olly - Paraguay

- Agricultural reform scheme starts, although new farmers setting up in the country also request training assistance from the government. (ETA 3 years, to achieve your targets of 5%)

- Pharmaceutical industry is invested in, the funding pleases the companies in Paraguay and they start producing new drugs, although this annoys larger international companies who import drugs into your country and they raise prices on other drugs that you need to import. (R?)

- Employment Agency is founded and centres pop up in various towns across Paraguay, this pleases a lot of people in the country and unemployment in the nation falls slightly as people begin to find more local work. Although some people are annoyed, they claim that their benefits have been cut even though they can't visit the employment centres because the poor transportation system in the country and the distance between large towns and rural villages.

- Tourism somewhat improved, the campaign is slightly effective. Although the current economic situation in other countries does not help tourism.

- Mineral and oil exploration is started. The national press makes several comic headlines after the search of oil ends with no profitable further oil reserves are found and several workers die in an accident.

- Corruption is clamped down on, the people support this and like the idea of their corrupt assets being seized by the government and being used on improving the country. Several high profile officials are found and arrested, including several mid-level economic ministers who were giving illegal tip-offs to large companies.

- Police reform underway, the new training scheme is loved with the police force who have been calling for modernization for years.

- National Museum is constructed, although South American Museum don't send you any major items relating to the country they are in they do send you items relating to Paraguayan history.

- Bolivia is like K.

- Uruguay agree, although they already have a modern and efficient transportation system.

- Military Stuff Done.

- MAGLEV trains under construction. (ETA 3 years)

- Fishing fleet purchased, although with untrained fishermen it's not successful.

- Education program

President Olly - Paraguay

- Agricultural reform scheme starts, although new farmers setting up in the country also request training assistance from the government. (ETA 3 years, to achieve your targets of 5%) I was thinking I would give them training, must have forgotten to add it in. Could we include training in with this aim as well then please?

- Pharmaceutical industry is invested in, the funding pleases the companies in Paraguay and they start producing new drugs, although this annoys larger international companies who import drugs into your country and they raise prices on other drugs that you need to import. (R?) Explain to the larger international companies that if they were to set up factories and labs in Paraguay then they would be afforded the same luxuries as local pharmaceutical companies, and we would continue to buy from them.

Okay, I'll work on that.

Have they stopped searching now then? or are they continuing? Also, what about minerals?

- Corruption is clamped down on, the people support this and like the idea of their corrupt assets being seized by the government and being used on improving the country. Several high profile officials are found and arrested, including several mid-level economic ministers who were giving illegal tip-offs to large companies.

- Police reform underway, the new training scheme is loved with the police force who have been calling for modernization for years.

- National Museum is constructed, although South American Museum don't send you any major items relating to the country they are in they do send you items relating to Paraguayan history. Okay then I'd like to make it solely into a Paraguayan history museum, Still anything that other South American countries can contribute will be put on display and it will be made obvious to the public they were generously donated by said country.

- Primary schools are constructed, some educational officials propose a school transport system like in the United States and other countries in the region to safely transport students from outlying regions into schools.

- Countries are not really interested in starting a South American Museum in your country, although Brazil and Uruguay both agree to the South American Museum being set up in a location that will cross both their countries boarder.

- Yes. You can add this training new year.

- They explain to you that you lack the expertise and industry to produce the amount of drugs that you need.

- Yes they've stopped searching.

- Changes have been made.

Do we have a rate of population growth?
Lately the GM hasn't bothered as it would take a lot of effort but I suppose when something major happens(Nuclear explosion?) or a very large scale war you'd feel the negative effects.
