just to clarify - the 'delete account' function will only delete that worlds account, correct?

As soon as you clear an account for deletion, you will not be able to log on anymore. It will be deleted in about 5 days.
Only the account on this game world will be deleted. Your forum account and the accounts on other servers will stay intact.

So yeah, should be fine.

Nope, just the opposite, they have several servers per world.
