New to game and need to know the advantages in being able to demolish your own buildings

Once you've established your village you can reduce the level of buildings to allow a greater capacity of troops. Without the demolish ability you effectively have to cat your own villa to reduce the levels of buildings in the village

Example, you only need a level 20 village HQ to build an academy and nobles. However Higher level HQs can be built and allow faster building of your other building upgrades. This is an advantage if you are farming large amounts of resources to supply the building of such upgrades.

You can see the number of people in the population from the upgrades of Levels 21-30-376 population.
So by demolishing those levels you obtain space for 376 axemen, or 76 or any foot soldiers and 3 nobles.
The option to demolish is so you don't have to self attack to gain back the space freeing you up to continue in your expansion.

also good if you think you will lose your villa
