This might seem like a stupid question....but ive just got my village headquarters to level 15 and now im able to demolish my buildings...but why would i do this??? Am i missing something??

Some buildings you may not need. So you demolish them making more farm space meaning you're able to fit in more troops.
Hiding place - Not needed. Demolish it completely when the time comes.
Headquarters - Not needed above level 20 once you're happy with your village build. Demolish it to level 20.
Warehouse - Depending on how active you can also demolish this a bit. Level 30 isn't always required. Even in later play.
Statue - You don't need one in every village to be honest. So you can demolish it.
Basically to lower the levels of you buildings to make more farm space to build more troops.

Meh, Hiding Place is totally worth the measly eight population it uses up.

Kinda' simple. Morale.
Indeed. Warehouse 27 is 500 points less than Warehouse 30, quite a difference morale-wise when you have a large number of villages.
