I would say that the world economy is changing. Nothing remains static after the such a catastrophic but inevitable act occurs. Hopefully, people will learn to let the free market do its job, and stop trying to do all these socialist acts. However, seeing as Obama has control of America, the last bastion of true free market ideals... I shudder with the thought of what the future may become.
