How many troops do you send?

How many spears would you have to send at an empty player for none of them to die? and how many would you have to send at a barbarian village for none of them to die.

I can't remember but i think it was 9, or was that with a paladin?

9 is where I used to begin farming, usually wait till 11 now though. Usually ends up better in the long run.

You watch how the barbs grow and avoid the ones that built rax and wall :icon_razz:

No one mentioned troops. Barracks is a pre-requisite for wall construction though and as such is important.

But yeah barbs with walls early on are annoying.

Maybe so, but the chance of getting such luck is 4%, so i'd say it was fine going at 8.

The base village defense (20) is the same for any village, be it barbarian or player.

The basic defense of a village is enough to kill 1 spear. In other words, the iron miners, clay pitters, and timber campers put up one hell of a fight

Once you get axes, you should start sending smaller groups though.

For instance, I'm using 5 axes and 15 sp. With that, I don't get losses even if there is a wall, unless I have bad luck.

Even at 45 I still manage to lose one spear from time to time, the best option is to mix spears with other 'stronger' troops like swords or axes, and then once you get light cav send them alone, as they are the ultimate farming troop.
