I'm going alone. I have independence and wish to continue that way.... there should be not much need for it anyway on any uk server...

Sure. Why would a different server make any difference. A good coplaying acc. is just like having an acc. for yourself, but its better. You get near 24/7 activity, if not so, very close to. If its a good coplaying acc. you have similar strategies and goals and will both agree on what to work for and should achieve your targest at high speeds. You don't often overlap so you can go on the acc. when you want pretty much and it can push you to do your best.

Plus there are many capable and experienced players joining this world, so its not as if its totally uncalled for. I mean .net, .de so many possibilities of where players could come from and have vast experience and many of us are from those placess anyway.

Co-playing usually gets the two players arguing. I play very differently to most players. I get a slow start but it's worth it later on when I can grow a lot quicker. I'm sure most players would agree with me.

I would like to let my resources build up over night and just get a good queue of buildings the next day whilst plundering. maybe have a full day without having to stop the village headquarters queue.

Hmm co-playing..

its clever, but i dont think i'll use it on this world,

i doubt there will be many americans or australians playing this world, so it would also be hard to find someone to sit you whilst you're asleep.
Which is the only reason you'd need one if you were active in the day time.

I also think that for awhile, there won't be many barbarians around, so most farming will be done within a few hours.

Orly ?

Also, i am co-playing, and prefer to co-play, saves finding sitters if/when needed.

I have a coplayer, but he kind of doesn't count coz he's in my timezone. I'll need to find one to stay active, as I'm definitely not from the UK.

re

I like co-playing, I did it in W32 and it went great, we dominated our area but then my co-player went inactive. That screwed everything up as I depended on him for a lot, you sorta get used to relying on each other. Hence why I think co-playing can have its drawbacks if they quit on you.

The moral of the story, never have Grim as a sitter or co-player :icon_wink: he's useless!

I think you will find it is essential when you first start in a world but when you are well-established it doesn't really matter as much

Why have you just responded to a thread that died over a year ago? -.-

Anyway, YOU are so WRONG!

Yes co-playing in "start-up" can give you the activity to get a growth boost,
however, co-playing is just as essential, if not more so, in latter stages...

Firstly, you need activity to keep up your growth beyond "start up" -- nobles
become more expensive and you'll have more and more villages to maintain.

Secondly, when you're the target of a tribal operation, having a co-player
(most sitters suck) allows you to take much needed breaks...

... unless you are capable of sitting at your PC 24/7 and going days without
sleep... if this is the case, then you're not human and it sucks to be you! :icon_razz:

Also...

Playing with someone you get on with (who you trust 100%), is MUCH more
fun than playing solo! (nod)

It also helps if you play with someone who knows what their doing... luckily
for us, the Abdo account has the best pair in the game! :icon_cool:

I do not coplay but see nothing wrong in it. As I have grown the account has become more time consuming and a coplayer is an interesting option, TBH 400+ villages take a lot of work. I may have to seriously consider this option.

I don't like co-playing. It makes the whole game unfair to those who play the game how it should be and was originally intended to be played, as an individual achievement.

And each player has their own life style...

Many players are in school, some are in jobs where they have no access to the
internet, whilst others (like us) choose to co-play due to playing large accounts
on more than one server.

It's not unfair, what would be "unfair", however, is if co-playing was not an
option and players who have the freedom to play the game during work hours
were able to nuke the crap out of their enemies whilst they are unable to log-in.

IMHO, the greatest achievement in this game is playing to win as a TEAM
... after all, this is a "TEAM" game!

You may have your own opinions on co-playing, and you're, of course, entitled
to them, however...

... I personally, would much rather have a tribe full with co-played accounts
(with players who are compatible ofc), as such tribes will have fewer problems
with activity, thus less demand on the other tribe members to sit.

Co-playing is a mini-team that eliminates the need for sitters...

Unfortunately, few sitters take care of sat accounts, as they would their own
-- even if they did... without a co-player, their own account suffers as a result
of sitting for others!

Anyway, to cut a long story short...

Good co-played accounts that are played by skilled players who are compatible
with one another, are MUCH stronger than the most active "single" player there
is, because...

... we all have to take breaks, and it's no good for the TEAM if a player is losing
villages whilst they're busy working, sleeping, in the bathroom, or whatever.

Co-playing, imho, is the way to W1N! :icon_cool:

A lot of what you describe as being unfair is covered by account sitting. Having two people play vs one person, is unfair. That is an undeniable fact. Of course co-playing is a way to win. You automatically gain a massive advantage over people playing there own accounts. Which is why I don't like it.
