Version 7.0 Help

Well folks, more worlds have started updating to 7.0, and with them come the many changes that 7.0 has to offer. You understandably have a good many questions - the aim of this topic is to provide you with the answers to the most common of those. Feel free to suggest additional entries.

Account Manager
The Account Manager is a purchasable expansion pack for the Premium system that contains a number of additional features designed to ease the management of a large account by allowing for the partial automation of various tedious tasks.

  • What are the features?

    • Attack Notifications! Need a few hours break? No problem. Nifty email notifications will be popped into your inbox about incoming attacks should someone get a sudden urge to expand at the cost of your villages while you are enjoying a quiet moment. Several customization options are available for the sending of said notifications.

    • Village Manager! Those that have the Account Manager activated on their accounts will be provided with the possibility to set up extensive building queues. Up to a certain number of desired building levels (default: 50) can be filled in on the Village Manager screen - the various Village Headquarters will then attempt to complete these orders one by one if and when enough resources are available.
Please note that orders are not necessarily added to the Currently Building Queue (the queue you are acquainted with) from the Building List in the order that they are shown. If the first item in the list cannot be added due to a lack of resources, the Village Manager will attempt to add the second item, and so on and so forth. The Currently Building Queue is only updated once it finishes.

    • Troop Manager! The Troop Manager is an improved Mass Recruitment screen that allows players to specify sets of units to recruit automatically once resources and farm space requirements have been met. [postlink=290160]Howto >>[/postlink]

    • Market Manager! Players will be able to set up a number (default: 50) of periodic resource transfers (Trade Routes) between villages in order to maximise their resource usage efficiency. The villages involved will of course need to have the required number of merchants available. If the requirements for a transfer are not met at the time it is meant to be sent, the transaction will be skipped until the next scheduled time.

Graphics

  • Everything looks messed up!
Hm, there's a good chance you're using Internet Explorer 6.0, or lower. We're going to have to point out that we announced that we'd dropped support for this 10-year old browser several months ago, as it's a developmental nightmare to work with it. Upgrading to Internet Explorer 8.0 or using a different browser completely will resolve the issue. Click here for a browser overview.

  • I don't like Report Pictures, the New Unit Pictures and/or the Night Graphics!
Go to: Settings > Settings > Classic Graphics
    Click: That box
    Click: OK

  • I don't like the 7.0 look at all! Aw, we're kinda hurt. Oh well.
Go to: Settings > Settings > Path for CSS file:*
    Type: /oldstyle.css into that box.
    Click: OK

To revert back to the 7.0 style, simply empty out the box and hit OK. Note that this will not quite revert everything back to how it looked in 6.5 - the bottom menu bar and the order of the items in the top menu bar will still be there.

Map

  • Some map popup information isn't displaying, but it did before the update!
    Goto: Your map screen
Click: >>Popup options - it's in the same column as the minimap.
    Select the information you want
    Click: OK

  • Ahhh, the political map isn't showing up on the main map!
That's not a bug, it's been removed from there for performance reasons. There are currently no plans to restore it.

Can't Find / Doesn't Work!

  • Where are the Forum, Help, Support and Friends links?
On the new menu bar down at the bottom.

  • Can't mint coins en masse?
Select the number of coins you would like to mint in all villages, and then hit 'select' - it's disguised as a title but is in reality a button. Image >>

  • Can't find World Settings!
We moved them to the Statistics page.
Home Page > Statistics > World Settings

  • Can't find Rules under Help!
Aye, just refer to the Rules linked on the Homepage in the top menu.
* Only available on Premium Accounts

Howto: Troop Manager [postlink=290159]^[/postlink]

The way that the Troop Manager is currently implemented requires you to perform several steps to queue up some units, and offers several different ways of doing so.

To get started, put the amount of troops you would like to recruit into the box for troop numbers in the top left-hand corner of your screen. You will then need to select the villages you wish to apply the troop numbers to. This can be done by marking the white checkboxes listed along the left-hand side of your screen.

Assuming you've inserted the troops you want to recruit, and have some villages selected, you can now move on to look at what you want to do with the numbers. You can select:

- 'Insert values' - this will insert the troop numbers you typed in into all selected villages, if they can be recruited at the time of pressing 'insert values'

- 'Insert maximum values' - works the same as 'Insert values', but instead of not inserting the values if they can't be recruited, it will instead insert a value as close as possible to what you typed.

- 'Earmark in the building queue' will insert and recruit the troops you listed, and will automatically queue the recruitment orders it cannot currently perform once resources and farm space becomes available.

Please note that the 'Save' button only applies to the resource values you fill in the buffer - not to your troop configurations.

General Account Manager FAQ [postlink=290159]^[/postlink]

How much does it cost to activate?
14 days = 100 PP
30 days = 200 PP

When can I activate the AM?
If you've got at least 20 villages, and normal premium is already active on your account for the duration you would like to activate the AM for.

What if I lose villages?
The village requirement is only checked when you activate the account manager. The AM will stay active on your account if you drop below the minimum village requirement (default: 20).

What if the Account Manager is active for longer than Premium?
Shouldn't happen, see below.
Changelog said:
Your account must [...] have regular premium activated for at least the amount of time you want to activate the Account Manager for.
