I would have to disagree on that :)

Running the sim again 3500 Lc, 4k axe, 220 rams, 1 palain (LC wep) would wipe out more troops and survive the outcome of a very strong defence village. Then running the sim with your build and the 21k axe build all of the troops die.

The defensive structure of the village is based on an average standard of 7k spears,2k SW, 1.8kHC.

i think ur missing the pally with axe weapon? but thanks for the insight on the lc strong nukes, im going to play with my sim now :icon_idea:

All offences using their weapons. Nothing efficient about pure axe (even with added rams).

id say it all depends on the defense. here is some more examples....

Sure barracks builds you will come across now and again but not as much as using the SP/HC build. So yeah it depends on the build. I prefer the bigger LC nukes due to the fact that it is ALOT faster to build, you spend less resources to manufacture and the out come is strong.

i just build normal nukes, maybe a little axe heavy, but later on in game, ill probally take a bonus rax vill for a axe nuke, and now a stables vill for a lc nuke, may as well make the most of the pally weapons some how.

Yeah but i would suggest using bonus rax for pure rax defense rather than offense since it would be more necessary. I would use 10% extra pop villages for the nukes, its the best bonus you can get :)

Ive actually built and in the process of maxing a Barracks Bonus, 'Pure Axe-Nuke' village... :)
Gonna build myself 250 rams, as i do on all my offensive villages and build as many axes as possible.

Never had one before and wanted to see how much pre-nuke damage i could do, lol.

Not like im scratching around for resources, atm. :icon_razz:
I have too much of the bloody stuff, lol.

Ill just add how I build my offensive nukes as opposed to commenting on others as they're is a quite a lot of interesting info on this thread anyway. I think you have all concluded in some way that their is no perfect general nuke, but only a perfect nuke for any single situation.

Anyway, this is how I build offensive nukes:

I use a mass recruitment script set to build up to 22000/24000 farm space. Its balanced so the build queue of barracks and stables finish at the same time starting from 0 troops. This leaves me with 2000 farm space to work with which I use in a variety of ways:

1) Adapt nuke to the known/likely/scouted defensive builds of the target village or player
2) Add 'x' number of rams or cats to make the use fit perfectly to what I will be using it for (included no. of fakes, wall breakers, catting rally point or catting farm) <-- means i waste no space on having excessive rams or cats
3) Re-balance build time; If it has become unmatched through a recent clearing (e.g. if 500LC survive but all axes died, the script will lead the stables to finish before the barracks so I use the extra space to add to the stables queue so that they finish at similar time)
4) Build nobles

This is all my own opinion and is what I find works best for me...

Build the nuke that compromises with build time and effectiveness, if you are going for a full axe nuke then yes it might be more powerful than a normal nuke but it is not more effective.

The faster you build your nukes the faster you grow. It is still going to take 2 nukes to break down a full pop defense village so going for the two that build faster rather than 1 that takes forever is better in the long run.

The full axe nuke takes far to long compared to a more balanced nuke and does not do loads more damage compared with the amount of time it takes.

Balanced Nuke > Un-Balanced Nuke

^^^

In any situation.

SPOT ON STELLA +1 rep for you =]

I am Constantly trying to find the 'Perfect Balanced Nuke'

I spend maybe 2 hours a day on the Simulator trying to find the best numbers....

I still am tweaking it, i been doing it for 2 years hahah.

(yes i have no life)

Finding a balanced nuke for all situations is impossible, you are going to be searching for a long time. Finding a balanced nuke that does well in most situations is what we all strive for. But again it all depends on what defense your opponent has. Tweaking your nuke constantly can be annoying and in-practical so finding one that works well against most D setups and builds quick is the holy grail of nukes.

Upon reading Stella Very insipring post, i have worked out a few timings for how long Nukes takes to build.
After playing with the timings for a while, And the simulator i think i have came up with a nuke, that does Max damage for how quick it is to build.

(Yes i am sad enough to spend an hour of my life working out how long it takes a nuke to build from start to finish)

Firstly.

All Troop times are based on my village build in the other thread.
And is slightly Ram Heavy for Max Damage for other nukes to follow.

So

Barracks lvl 24
Stable lvl 20
Workshop lvl 5
and 21,259 farm space for troops.

Anyway. This is the nuke in Question :

Axes: 5,999
L.Cav: 2,850
M.Arch: 472
Rams: 300

Now, This is the times the units take to build, The numbers are the amount of Days:

Axes: 15.13
L.Cav: 12.36
M.Arch: 3.07
(Total build time in stables then is 15.43 days)
Rams: 8.30

So in summary, Every 15 days, you can lauch this Nuke out to its death with another behind it hopefully.

~OR~

If times are hard every 8 days you will have half a nuke, but still with 300 rams.

____________________________________

In response to the 19K axe nuke:

Its takes a staggering 45.30 Days From a 25 barracks to build.

So compare the two nukes.

Either 1 19K Axe nuke
or 3 nukes like mine above for the same build time

....which one would you choose....

Thank you all for reading....
Ive now wasted a good part of my life that i could be sleeping lol... Just kidding...

Off topic:

(dont know about any of you but this is being Cut and Pasted into my guides forum in my tribe lol)

Edit:

After a few questions from my own tribe i thought it best for me to add in the pally weapon into the Summary, as im doing everything else: This However is my own personal opinion for the pally weapons. (and works well when using for my 'perfect nuke'

The Pally weapons are for damage mainly.

If you had ALL pally weapons. Id use the weapon based on the Enemy defence. If they have Plenty of Spears us the Axe, Plenty of Cats and swords us the Lance, Plenty of Archers composite Bow.

If attacking a well stacked village that needs two nukes to clear, Use the Ram Weapon in the first wave, so your second nuke will do more damage.

HOWEVER, if attacking without scouting, always us the LC weapon if you have more than 2500 Light Cav. (Stats have shown more people build Hc and Swords than any other troop based on market research)
If you have less than that use your Axe Weapon.

Wow T3RR0R, I am amazed.
I have learned so much from this thread, really changed my views on nuke building and nuke efficiency. Thanks everyone for the very helpful responses. I plan to have my tribe employ these builds immediately.

If you don't mind I think I will copy and paste this into our forums aswell.

Yes, great post indeed. As it's been said, time is probably the most important factor. As T3RROR mentioned about swords/hc being produced more. I think that's pretty legible, in my experience. I find most unexperienced players just build swords or mostly swords. Not sure why, maybe because swords pretty much scream "defense troops" to young players.

t3rr0r great info here, if you have the time any chance you get a build time for the axe nuke in a bonus barracks vill.

I've been tossing around an idea for a while and I'm wondering what everyone elses opinion is.

We know that 6000 axe/2500lc/220 ram ish is the fastest possible nuke to build so something around that is what I generally rush to in offensive villages. But once it's built and ready to go I could slowly sacrifice LC/MA 100 at a time and replenish the villager count with axes. That way in times of peace I could slowly build up super powerful all axe nukes but still be at 100% readiness in case of war.

Apart from the fact that it takes so long to build would an all axe village be guaranteed to be better? If so it seems this would be the optimal strategy.

Maybe as an offshoot of this I could specialise nukes in different directions. Have some mixed, some all axe, some all LC, some all MA.

Thoughts?

i think having pure axe, lc, nukes are great around the 100 village mark, atm quick nukes take priority, later on ingame when u have 40-50 nukes 1 or 2 slow building nukes wont worry you. just my opinion.

Good point, also by then you might have several various bonus villages to make specialization easier. I really want to try an all axe nuke too, I'll try to figure out how long it'll take with a bonus barracks village.

Fact but in that case your 2 very slow builded nukes are nothing compared with the 48 you've still left. I'd prefer 6 balanced nukes instead of 2 full axe nukes. Secondly it's not that those 50 nukes are constantly standing home. They are made to be send out and do as much damage as possible. If you're one of those frequent nukelaunchers you're best to not have axe nukes, even with 100+ villages .. 45 days vs 13 days (my nuke) build time is a huge difference and you gotta have a lot of patience to go for axe nukes.

i agree kind of, i still say that having a wall buster nuke + pally with morning star, (member 1) . and a axe nuke plus pally with axe weapon, (member 2) is very handy to clear those stacked vills that are a must take, it also sends a clear message of "YOU CAN STACK ALL YOU LIKE, WE WILL STILL GET YOUR VILL" which sometimes is enough to make a player quit, dishearten a whole tribe, and just getting inside ur enemy's head, which is all part of good strategic war tactics.
