i love how it says proven top 20 but what if 40 people use the guide who are all good... not everyone can be in the top 20

The proven part was just from when I had 13 people of varying experience follow it about a year ago and take ranks 1-13 on the world

From playing with hoang, you shouldn't build res high at all. We had something like 3 or 4k and our res was; 7 wood, 2 clay, 4 iron. Something like that. Farming constantly is the key. Ofc, if you aren't online like 24/7, follow this strat. But with a co-, constant farming and masses of LC is the key.

[pp]Again as stated earlier, this was aimed at new players that couldnt always be uber active. Many recent worlds I have been at 1/1/1 when nobling including the last 3 worlds I played which was uk3, de50, and en39.[/pp]

Just because it is fast it does not make it the best way to play, you need res mines if you are going to take any risks at all or be in a position to lose your army. Just because you can, it does not mean you should.

According to the Paladin start up, designed by Purple Predator. You stop at 40 Spears & 45 Axe? Or did you not add any further troop counts intentionally?

The best way to use it is as a build giude, keep your queues as constant as possible, any extra res go to building moar troops

Personally, I wouldn't think twice about following this guide past Timber six. I'm not saying it doesn't work during the first week or so of the game, but frankly, it's too abused for my tease. I was simply curious to whether Purple Predator stops at around 50 Spears.

I know of many players lately who have rushed to 50 - 60 Spears then done nothing apart from:

HQ - 10
Smithy - 5
Rax - 5
Stable 3
Researched Light Cavalry and started producing.

^ I tried doing something similar before, however I couldn't 50 Spears being enough at all. Instead I went for 208 Spears, then rushed to Light Cavalry, with that said I was rank 1 - 2 Kept hopping and had the first 31 Light Cavalry in the world.

as with anything its situation based, have I stopped at 50 sp when I started yes, have I stopped at 200 yes, there is one reason to stop, and that is more troops than available res...

true... (it's so much fun to converse with players light years above my skillrange :D) But, that does work in some cases, I rarely restart, and I was once in a position with 3 villages in my 7*7, I went VERY res heavy, and stayed with about 50 spears, and got LC first in my 30*30 (I was in a semi-core area), and started farming, mostly my outer 15*15, which oddly had quite a few villages, they were just hard to get to.

I stop at whatever spear/axe or spear/sword combo is best for my area. It is different for every world. There is an actual point that you can stop building troops during BP. In many cases, nonstop troop production in bp is extremely detrimental.

Timber 5
Timber 6
HQ 2
HQ 3

HQ 5
Warehouse 3
Smithy 1
Smithy 2
Research Axes
Build about 15-45 axes and start splitting up your farming parties with axes included to reduce losses.

Market 1 (If you have excess iron, store it in a high ratio trade for later)
Barracks 2
Barracks 3
Smithy 3
HQ 6
Barracks 4
Warehouse 4

Smithy 5

Farm Like Crazy (Build up to at least 50 before moving on)

And again, that's an incomplete guide. I have the complete guide since I was one of the dutch noob-players who couldn't come online very often.

Anyway, that guide was created for us (with our scenario in mind). And it is so that that specific guide is unrecommend to use on .net or uk worlds.
And to point that out very simply, dutch servers are noob servers.

If you really want a good guide play the game for a while. In time you'll develop your own style and methods to play in different areas of starting locations wich are more valuable then any guide at all.
