R~A~C Vs ~AKP~ - A Background Story
For anyone who cares to know ~RAC~ side of the coin, and perhaps enjoys a good novel, with a couple of twists in the story :icon_biggrin:
I have been reading a lot of arrogant and snooty comments by one member of ~AKP~ in particular who seems to love giving distorted facts of what kicked off the ~RAC~ and ~AKP~ war. Seems even those involved in the events are confused, never mind anyone else.
Okay this is my point of view on what happened, and I am sure anyone will jump in and tell me where I've been mislead etc. Anyone who knows me, knows I really don't care what people think of me, be it tribemates, enemies or anyone else. I don't sacrifice my personality or my ethics for the sake of a village or two on a game.
Pre - Merge of ACES and ~RAC~
Before Christmas, ACES and ~RAC~ had good relations. A lot of players shared common areas between tribes, and there was a general feeling of trying our best to work together, afterall we were both small fish in the big sea. KPS were a much larger neighbour to both of us.
Then one day, the lads in ACES grew tired of the treaty breaking aggression made by KPS. They started attacking them outright. ( tip of the hat for guts ). After ACES nobled a couple of isolated villages, KPS regained the lead in the war and started to turn the tide very strongly.
Whilst this was going on, there was a general feeling of boredom in ~RAC~. Our members had grown tired of fighting smaller players and wanted a challenge. It's worth mentioning here, that our relations with KPS were just as good as with ACES. However, KPS were seeking us to enter the war on their side against ACES, to ensure a quicker victory. Now after many council discussions and taking into account of the general unrest of the tribe, a lot of the RAC council strongly considered that war with ACES would be a good idea to clear out K35 and K46.
In stepped the village idiot that is me, Avenging Archangel, to wreck all of this. I had been good mates with the duke of ACES, Chesty, since I got rimmed out beside him. His tribe and me had always worked well together helping out each other. I suggested to the council that perhaps a merge might be a better option. We merge with ACES and go to war with KPS in the process, thus keeping everyone happy and satisfying our restless tribe. The council were open to the idea so I contacted Chesty and asked him if he would merge into RAC, and I gently implied that a decision needed to be made asap. We discussed that they could only bring their top players and the rest would be left out. We would also be kicking some inactive members.
Merge of ACES and ~RAC~
At first the merge went great. New blood, new revived activity. KPS were very angry about our move in taking in their refugees but for some reason never attacked.
One of our members, convinced the council to organise the setting up of TEAM-VIRTUS, for all those eager and active members of both ~RAC~ and ACES who didn't make it into the new tribe. She genuinely felt bad for abandoning those of them who were very eager to learn, very responsive to follow orders, and who were active. In fairness, we all agreed with her and supported her idea. An old friend of hers thus set up this new tribe -TV-, which was run independently but allied to the merged ~RAC~.
Suddenly of course problems started to arise in the New Year. Chesty, as much as I loved his personality, was for some reason really annoying people on the council. They claimed he kept having outbursts and losing his head. Now I personally never saw this but as I said, others thought it.
Another problem was of course the issue with the lack of a War. Our tribe was again restless! We had planned to go to war against KPS at some stage but the tribe genuinely didn't seem to be ready. After some hesitation, a date was finally set for the launch of the War.
After some issues and mix ups however the launch for the op was cancelled. There are too many sides of the coins to discuss here who postponed it, but needless to say blame was made everywhere. However a large mistake that was made was that one of our Duke's had publicly blamed Chesty for it, to the rest of the tribe. The second large mistake, imo, was Chesty then got very angry and left the tribe.
Within the next few hours this had snowballed into a mass exodus of the ACES members to leaving and reforming their old tribe. A small fight between two members had split the tribe in half, a true act of selfishness and putting yourself before the tribe in my opinion.
War Declared
After the fallout from above, the council of ~RAC~ tried to calm everything down. We hoped this could be mended. Circulars were being sent out to the tribe to tell them that ACES were not enemies, and should be treated as they were before the merge, i.e. respectful with nobling etc.
Things were just starting to settle, when suddenly out of the blue in a lot of ~RAC~ eyes, ACES declared war on us. Well after scratching our heads for several hours, ( for me several days - village idiot remember :icon_eek: ), we could not figure out why war had started. Surely KPS were going to be the common enemy as before.
But as always, we got over the initial shock and got stuck into the war.
Initial War
Aces started immediately to attack and noble out small members of TEAM-VIRTUS. This tribe still contained a lot of old ACES members as well as of course ~RAC~ members. TEAM-VIRTUS were soon in big trouble, and their duke decided to disband the tribe and move any still alive into ~RAC~. Some of these members were ex ACES from the merge, but as I said we didn't want to leave any active members behind. It's not why we came to this world.
Once -TV- were removed, ~RAC~ were able to start clearing out ACES from K35. Within days the War Stats were showing us beating them quite heftily. In fairness we were hitting their problematic area and not their core K46 but nevertheless, we were winning.

And of course everyone knows the rest of the story. KPS disbanded and merged into ACES to form the new tribe ~AKP~. Thus the tribe we orignally saved from KPS now merged with KPS to fight us. Eli Roth would be proud if he had constructed that twist of events lol.
Epilogue
Now I like a lot of the guys from ACES. Chesty, the ferret etc etc. All good decent lads and have done well to keep their tribe alive and dominant. And our tribe perhaps made some foolish decisions and naive ones too. But make no mistake, we are not here to be number one tribe, we are here to have fun.
A double betrayal to the tribe ~RAC~, as well as to your original ACES members who you attacked.
This is not an attempt to whinge or seek sympathy.
This is an attempt to stop the incessant mouthing off an ~AKP~ player who thinks his tribe are the Robin Hood's of their lands, the holiest and high moraled tribe, fighting a just and honourable war.
At least your old Duke and Baron can admit they done what they had to do. I have no issues with that, they done well.
