At the time I wasn't part of the decision making... but my personal opinion would be a last ditch effort to subtract the better players.

Ego? I will admit some of our guys do have an ego, thats not a bad thing. BUt getting the better of a council? How does dukes offering to step aside to make a merge work, because they were aware of peronaility clashes really show an ego out of control?
Oh and since people didn't like the last set of stats, here is the update for last 24 hours, including cloak, which I think you will all agree shows a good fightback from TS despite being tiny compared to the two tribes it faces:

I have to give credit where its due. ~TS~ have fought back with skill in recent days. But even if you only count Total Conquers Against the Opposite Side since the war began a week ago, CRUZ are still ahead by a margin of 64 to 32. Not brilliant but hardly a fail. Nobody said it was going to be a walkover.
